My work has taken me across the world’s major oceans. I have ongoing projects in Taiwan, the Indian Ocean, Alaska, and the Atlantic Ocean. While a lot of my research has focused on new species descriptions, taxonomy, and basic life history, I am branching out into genetics, deepwater cameras, and robotics to better explore sharks of the deep.
I have been contracted to run a workshop for the Mauritian Government’s National Plan of Action for Sharks (as for the United Nations’ Food and Agriculture Organization) and I am organizing large collaborations in the Pacific and Indian oceans.
